Electronic Invoice
For an invoice to be considered an “electronic invoice,” it must be sent directly from the seller’s system to the buyer. In other words, simply sending a PDF invoice by email isn’t enough to be considered an electronic invoice!
Public administrations are now required to implement electronic invoicing; since many suppliers to the public administration are private companies, they are also covered by this invoicing system.
